Architetonic Concept Boards

Concept Boards

Creative

Template

Collage

From these boards, I've decided to choose the collage board because from this board I can really relate to the building and also the mood of the design. The board has successfully captures the characteristics of the building that are messy, playful and full of surprises. From this board, I can get the shape of the building and also the colours are quite clear. At first, I liked the template one but then I realised that it does not have any pictures of the building. I also did not choose the creative one because the images of the building are very few and I played more with the photoshop rather than using the images for this board. Finally, I decided to use the collage board because it represents the building and the concept perfectly.

What I Have Learned From The Assessment 2

5 Things that I have learned from the Assessment 2 are:

1. I learned how to explore and do a research on architecture. I never thought that architecture can be an inspiration to do a design in fashion. After this project, I realise that we can find many inspirations from other design fields, and architecture is something that is interesting to look at.

2. I learned how to understand a design more deeply. From this project, I learned how to analyse and make some statements for the design, how the design can give a message and has many meanings behind it.

3. I learned how to use photoshop! Well I'm still bad at it, but because of this project, it really pushed me to understand the photoshop better.

4. I learned how to interpret what I see and what I get from the piece of architecture that really captures my attention and build up certain emotions so I can create something that represents the ideas of the building that I chose and try to bring it into three different style of layouts. It's a challenge for me because I have to be consistent with what I'm doing. I have to fulfil the layouts without changing the concept. So, this project challenged me to be more creative and to think more critically.

5. I learned many new things such as how to get a good printing, how to scan an image, how to do a mounting. All these things are new to me and this project really helps me to understand them very well.

Autumn 2010
Photoshop Techniques: Layering (Week 3)
These 3 images are using the basic element from photoshop. Layering is an important part in photoshop because it is the main tool for editing the picture. Every work will be divided into layers. Every layer is not connected to each other so it is easy to manage the picture. If one layer is being deleted, the other layers will not be affected by the action. The layers also can be moved anywhere to change the result of the picture.
